MGL DESK | Mongolia Market Entry Guide

Mongolian Translation Services for Legal, Mining and Business Documents

Translation is managed as a document-control process: identify the receiving authority, approved terminology, controlling language, certification route, version and submission format before work begins.

1. Translation starts with the receiving authority

A contract for negotiation, a mining report for due diligence, a certificate for registration and a tender response do not follow the same workflow. Confirm who will receive the document, accepted language, certification route, formatting and submission method before translation begins.

2. Documents we coordinate

3. Legal and technical terminology control

A project glossary records approved names, legal terms, licence types, units, abbreviations and recurring clauses. Numbers, dates, currency, licence identifiers and company names are checked separately. Material changes are logged so the client can trace which version was used for negotiation or filing.

4. Chinese, English and Mongolian version alignment

Where three languages are used, the parties should agree which language controls and how conflicts are resolved. We prepare clause-level comparison tables for scope, payment, acceptance, warranties, liability, termination, governing law and dispute resolution.

5. Certification, notarisation and Apostille

Translation alone does not authenticate a document. Depending on the issuing country, document type and receiving authority, notarisation, an Apostille or another certification route may be required. The sequence is mapped before translation to avoid certifying the wrong copy.

6. Interpretation and meeting support

For negotiations, site visits and government meetings, interpreters receive an approved brief, participant list, terminology sheet and disclosure boundary. Meeting notes and action lists can be produced so verbal discussions become trackable tasks.

7. Deliverables and confidentiality

Deliverables may include editable files, filing-format PDFs, bilingual comparisons, terminology sheets, issue logs and final version registers. Sensitive mining, financing and transaction documents can be restricted by project and version.

How MGL DESK supports the assignment

We first define the transaction, target authority, document language, deadline and decision points. The written scope may include source review, bilingual document matrices, translation coordination, local filing support, meeting preparation and liaison with licensed Mongolian professionals where regulated advice or certification is required.

Service boundary: MGL DESK is not a law firm and does not replace licensed lawyers, auditors, engineers, valuers, notaries or government authorities. Regulated work is coordinated with appropriately qualified Mongolian professionals.
